Worked under extremely close tolerances and time constraints to insure equipment was available for use. As I progressed in rank gained management experience in continually increasing roles. Managed both small and large groups of subordinates to insure that all assigned aircraft met the same standards as above. Scheduled workers for various rotating shifts, aircraft for maintenance and equipment inspections. The value of all assigned aircraft and related equipment exceeded $100 million. This was all done with out a single major accident or injury. I am experienced in the use of hand tools and precession measuring devices, reading and interpreting from blue prints, drawings, and schematics.

Information Systems Engineer – Level 3
Architected enterprise-class, multi-tier backup and recovery systems spanning LAN and WAN networks, including disk-to-tape, disk-to-disk and disk-to-disk-to-tape alternatives as well as block level de-duplication and single-instance replication for remote sites
Consulted with VMWare and NetApp engineers (both within IKON and vendor SE’s) to compare and contrast scenarios for VMWare consolidated backups utilizing Veritas NetBackup Enterprise Clients with backups utilizing NetApp’s Open Systems Snap Vault or NFS via NDMP
Participated in the installation and deployment of VMWare’s ESX server 3.0 and VirtualCenter with the primary engineer assigned to the project as well as the monitoring, preparation and migration of physical servers to the virtual environment
Conducted system, domain, active directory, network, and name resolution troubleshooting as part of my duties ensuring the integrity of the backup environment
Responsible for maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley accountability for the success and/or failure of all backups within the realm of the IKON Network Center encompassing approximately 300 Windows servers, 5 NetBackup sites, and 10 NetApp storage arrays, distributed nationally and totaling approximately 70 TeraBytes of data
Assessed storage usage statistics to develop realistic goals for disaster recovery requirements, future developments and upgrades
Utilized BMC Remedy trouble ticketing system to track customer requests, work performed, and change management documentation

This effort also included assisting in the planning sessions for the concurrent cat6/gigabit Ethernet network redesign efforts
Installed and configured VMWare ESX Server 2.5.2 to include partition creation, user account creation and management, remote server message block share creation and mounting and virtual server creation, configuration, management and maintenance
Installed, operated and maintained the backup systems and media for three independent networks utilizing Veritas NetBackup, Veritas BackupExec, and CommVault software on AIT3, AIT2, DLT, and optical platter media utilizing both robotic libraries and standalone drives
